Phenomena Task Assessment

Phenomena task assessment uses an observable event as a focal point for asking students to demonstrate their conceptual understanding. These assessments can be used as formative or summative as well as individual or collaborative. Regardless of use, it is important to provide students feedback on their responses. Proper feedback does three things: (1) Let the student know their correct responses, (2) Let the student know where their responses require improvement, and (3) Provides students with an actionable method for how to improve.
